– Quick Post {Yes, Yet, Another} – Family Survival Protocol

I found this blog this morning, via one of my comments, on a recipe I had posted, here. I went and looked her blog over, just loving what I was finding! I will definitely be following her blog in the years to come, and I encourage you to do the same! I am an Organic Grower, of Medicine Plants, {Herbs}, Fruits & Vegetables, and plenty of other plants and flowers; n’ because of this, I am loving the videos she has on her page, with Scott McGuire. He has such a KILLER GARDEN!! Woowie zowie!! Here is the link to her blog, again, I encourage you to check it out! It really is a great read!

Our New Home – Gardening

I haven’t been quite as productive as I would’ve liked to, today, however, I have gotten a good bit done.

  The hubbs is standing infront of me, (Mr. Locksmith of 20+ years, n’ local Law Enforcement Officer.), rekeying our front door. It is quite a sight. I have seen him re key plenty of doors, but this one inparticular is annoying him. {HE HE HE HE}

  Ok, back on topic…… Gardening!! I don’t rightly know why, but every time I stay here, if only over night, or for a few months, I always get this urge to plant SOMETHING! I don’t get it, maybe it’s my green thumb, or maybe it’s my grandmother coming out in me. Either way, something always gets planted, believe it or not.

  I have been busy planting my succulents, in a few different containers, taking some of my ideas from pintrest,

        And making them my own.

Not to mention, planting up a few of my other planters, around the deck.

Container Gardening Idea: Make a Wine Box Salad Garden!

We love raised bed and container gardening for growing your own veggies in small outdoor spaces, and this project by Linsey Hasenbank combines the two by planting a salad garden in old wooden wine boxes:

The result has the look of a wood raised-bed garden but the scale of smaller-scaled container gardening. And the reuse of the wine boxes is not only beautiful, but it’s green!
